There are more than ten different ways you could get money to support yourself in college or money for paying your tuition fees and while that is a very good thing it can make your search very difficult. Many times you don`t even know where to start. But here are a few pointers to help you out with this.

The first and most important place you need to look into when you are looking for bursaries is the website of the institution you are planning to get a bursary from. Most of the time all the information that is official and that you basically need to get started will be there. The same principle applies to charities and funds that might be offering a bursary. The best way to find out for sure if they are offering a bursary is to go on their website. Check the websites of your local council, they sometimes offer bursaries and not many people know about them. One of the biggest mistakes you can do at this point is assuming that you are not eligible. Don`t just go on the website, glance at the requirements and quit. Nothing good will come out of that. On each website there will be a contact number. Call that number and get the extra information that you need.

Here`s one other important advice. When you register with a college or university offer details of your household income which are requested in various forms. The reason is that these institutions communicate with Student Loans Companies and you might be contacted by them in order to give you a bursary. There`s a chance that you don`t want to blow.

In some countries universities publish the bursaries and other programs they are going to offer in an access agreement. These are confusing and lengthy documents usually, but they are an alternative option to knowing which universities you can target in order to get financial aid. Another very good option is to ask students that already got bursaries how they did it and where they found the bursaries they got.

Some people are shy about sending their details and applications in multiple places, but oftentimes this is exactly the secret to success.

47. Hello I am Maria, I completed my matric year 2006, I went straight to Vasirty but my father got sick and family complications I dropped out. Bursary was never on my mind I thought it was not for people like me. I then went back to register with Unisa collage of Law. I love Law I happeened to believe people on what they said about me studying it. Some said it was diffucult other, others I old be old when I get my degree and some said am a softy. Until 2009 when I said to myself let me test the deep level of the sea.. I enjoyed the modules I took, I passed assignments then wrote exams.
